Aim: The project will provide families with assistance to reduce their energy bills while engaging children and young people with activities.
The cost of living crisis in many parts of the UK has made it challenging for families to manage their finances effectively, particularly when it comes to energy bills. Families struggle to keep their homes warm during winter, and this can lead to various health issues for both adults and children. In response to this problem, we propose the creation of a Warm Hub that will support families through this crisis. This Warm Hub will provide families with resources and assistance to reduce their energy bills while engaging their children and young people with activities such as podcasting, coding, archery, and 5-a-side football.
The main objectives of the Warm Hub are:
To provide families with resources and assistance to reduce their energy bills, helping them to manage their finances effectively.
To engage children and young people in activities that will build their skills, promote physical activity, and develop their social and emotional wellbeing.
To create a welcoming and supportive environment where families can come together to share their experiences and support each other.
The Warm Hub will have several benefits for families in the community, including:
Improved financial wellbeing: Families will be able to reduce their energy bills, helping them to manage their finances effectively.
Improved physical health: Children and young people will engage in physical activities that promote health and wellbeing.
Improved social and emotional wellbeing: Families will have the opportunity to come together and support each other, creating a sense of community and belonging.
The Warm Hub will provide families with resources and assistance to reduce their energy bills while engaging children and young people with activities that promote their physical, social, and emotional wellbeing. We believe that this initiative will help families to manage their finances effectively and build stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities.
