For more than three decades, the Chichester Cinema International Film Festival has brought extraordinary cinema, inspiring filmmakers, and unforgettable cultural experiences to our community. What began as a celebration of film has grown into one of the South Coast's most respected film festivals, welcoming audiences to discover new voices, world cinema, documentaries, premieres, special events and filmmaker discussions.

But the Festival is about much more than films.

While the Festival is a celebration of world cinema, its impact extends far beyond the screen. The event helps Chichester Cinema continue delivering their charitable aims using the power of cinema:  To enrich the cultural life of the community and champion independent cinema, to foster and support community cohesion, to fight social isolation, to inspire, educate and create opportunities for young people through creative workshops, educational opportunities and community outreach programmes throughout the year, ensuring the benefits of film reach far beyond the Festival itself.  

Through our outreach and education programmes, we work with schools, young people, community groups, older adults and those who may otherwise face barriers to accessing arts and culture. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the power of film, regardless of age, background or circumstance.

Today, rising costs threaten the sustainability of independent arts organisations across the country. We are launching this crowdfunding campaign to ensure that the Festival continues to flourish while helping us expand the outreach programmes that make a real difference in our community.
