Aim

To fund raise for Bicycle storage at the locations of the three community village hubs for New Fixed Route Bus service, and subsidised cours

As you know a brand new fixed route bus service is coming to the Chew Valley from 8th April. Although it only has three stops in the Chew Valley, (Bishop Sutton, Chew Stoke and Chew Magna, where demand was shown to be highest in a commuter survey carried out last Autumn) we also hope that some people will join the route from other nearby villages, and from the outskirts of these Parishes.

The new service, X91 Chew Valley Sprint, will be delivered by Transpora and you will be able to book a seat a week ahead if you choose to become a member, or you can just hop on on the day to take up any unbooked seats or a standing room place.

We are raising funds to pay for Bicycle stands and secure storage at each of the hub locations. We also want to be able to offer subsidised courses and workshops in the community, to help people return to cycling and e-cycling.

Including exercise in the daily commute makes sense for health and wellbeing, and walking, running and cycling to the bus also helps us do something practical to reduce our carbon footprint

Please support this initiative, and we look forward to seeing you on the bus!
