To purchase a harp for Jamaal and raise £8,000 to acquire more professional-quality instruments to support our awardees.
Founded in 2001, the Cherubim Music Trust supports exceptional young musicians by lending fine instruments and bows to talented performers who would otherwise be unable to access them. Over the past 25 years, Cherubim has helped generations of young artists study at leading music colleges and conservatoires, perform with major orchestras, win competitions, and establish professional careers in music.
This year marks Cherubim’s XXV Anniversary — an important milestone celebrating twenty-five years of opportunity, artistry, and musical excellence. To celebrate, we are launching our XXV Anniversary Appeal, raising £100,000 to support the next stage of Cherubim’s development and ensure that future generations of young musicians can continue to thrive.
At the heart of the appeal is our goal to acquire a fourth concert harp, reflecting the very first instrument acquired by the Trust in 2001: a harp. The first £30,000 raised will be dedicated to this Harp Appeal, and we are already 40% of the way there, having raised £13,000 so far.
Today, the Cherubim Collection has grown to 80 instruments, with more than 70 awardees currently benefiting from loans and support. As the Trust continues to expand, so too does the need for professional conservation, administration, insurance, and long-term sustainability to care for these remarkable instruments and the young musicians who play them.
Funds raised through this appeal will help us:
Throughout this anniversary year, Cherubim will present a series of special concerts and events featuring awardees from across the Trust’s history, celebrating the extraordinary musical journeys made possible through generosity and support.
Every donation directly helps young musicians access life-changing opportunities and ensures that exceptional instruments continue to inspire the next generation of artists.
