We are raising funds to help us through the winter during the pandemic.

by Dan Weeks in Brownhills, England, United Kingdom

Chasewater Railway is a heritage railway set in Chasewater Country Park. The railway is run entirely by passionate volunteers who are striving to keep our local history alive. We specialise in telling the story of how coal was mined and transported in the local area using locomotives and rolling stock which once worked in the area. There are an array of both steam and diesel locomotives on site which we are keeping alive. We normally hold lots of specials events during the year, appealing to families and enthusiasts alike.

We have been overlooked for grant funding to help us through the winter during the pandemic so we are appealing for your help. We are all working our hardest to keep the doors open, but the sad reality is that we are going to struggle over the winter months. Any help you can give is gratefully received and will go into keeping our heritage alive for generations to come.

Thank you.

These are unprecedented times but together, we are stronger, and the response is coming from communities across the country.

Volunteer groups are springing up to tackle the logistical problems faced in our communities – but they need urgent support. That's where we come in.
