Wykeham CC Women's Changing Room Fundraiser

Aim
Wykeham CC is growing, and our women & girls need proper facilities. Help us to build a changing room so that everyone feels included.
Who are we?
We are Wykeham Cricket Club which is a proud, family-run volunteer club at the heart of our local community. We’ve grown rapidly over the years, with two women’s hardball teams and a softball team now playing every Sunday, alongside nine mixed teams across all age groups.
Our vision is simple: cricket for everyone, with facilities that reflect that. But right now, many of our female players, especially girls playing in mixed teams, are forced to get changed in toilets or arrive already changed. We want to improve this situation.
We want to build a dedicated changing room for women and girls, creating a safe, comfortable, and inclusive space for all. This is the next step in our journey to make Wykeham CC truly welcoming for everyone, regardless of age or gender.
The money we raise will go directly towards construction and fitting out the new facility. Each donation, big or small, will help us to provide a proper changing facility for our 50+ female players and many others in future generations.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We’re fundraising to extend our pavilion at Wykeham Cricket Club to build a much-needed additional changing room for women and officials. At the heart of this crowdfunding exercise is our desire to be a fully inclusive club.
The extension that we build will provide a safe, comfortable, and private space for our 50+ female members and match officials. It will mean:
- A proper home for our growing women’s section
- Dignity and comfort for girls in our mixed teams
- An even more welcoming environment for new members
- Space to host more matches and events at our club
- Improved facilities for visiting teams and officials

How we’ll spend the money raised
All funds raised will go directly towards extending our pavilion at Wykeham Cricket Club to create a new changing room for women and match officials.
Your generous donations will help cover:
- Construction costs for extending the pavilion
- Internal fittings (benches, lockers, hooks, flooring)
- Installation of heating, lighting, and plumbing
- Fixtures and fittings for showers and toilets
- Decoration and finishing touches to create a comfortable space
- Accessibility improvements where possible
Community impact

Our club offers a safe, inclusive space where friendships are formed, confidence is built, and lifelong memories are made. With over 50 female players and 9 mixed teams, we’re playing a vital role in supporting girls and women in sport and promoting healthy, active lifestyles for all.
But our impact goes beyond cricket. Our facilities are regularly used for:

- Family days and social gatherings
By improving our changing facilities, we’re not just investing in sport — we’re investing in a more welcoming, accessible space for the whole community. The new changing room will ensure that everyone feels respected and included, whether they’re playing, volunteering, umpiring, or simply enjoying the game.
