Why are we crowdfunding?

Our project aims to reconnect and fully refurbish the old changing rooms and toilet facilities on the bottom field, restoring them as a valuable asset for local sports teams, community groups and visitors.

The facilities have been unused for some time and require significant improvements to bring them back into service. The project will include reconnecting essential water and electrical services, installing a new boiler system to provide reliable heating and hot water for the changing rooms, and completely refurbishing the toilet facilities. This will involve replacing the existing flooring, carrying out necessary repairs, and creating clean, safe and accessible spaces for all users.

By upgrading these facilities, we will provide a welcoming environment that supports participation in sport, recreation and community events. The improvements will benefit players, volunteers, spectators and local residents, helping to increase the use of the bottom field and encourage greater community engagement.

Our goal is not only to repair a neglected building but to create modern, functional facilities that can serve the community for many years to come.

How we’ll spend the money raised

We are aiming to raise £25,000 to help bring the old changing rooms and toilet facilities at Prestatyn Sports FC back into use.

We want to be completely transparent about how your donations will be spent. Our planned budget is:

• £10,000 – Materials: Including flooring, plumbing, electrical work, toilets, fixtures, fittings and materials required to refurbish the changing rooms and facilities.
• £6,000 – Labour: Covering skilled trades and installation work needed to complete the refurbishment safely and to a high standard.
• £4,000 – Plant hire: Equipment and machinery required to carry out the works efficiently and safely.
• £5,000 – Contingency: Set aside to cover any unexpected costs that may arise during the refurbishment, particularly when working on an older building.

Our priority is to complete the project within budget. If we are fortunate enough not to need the full contingency fund, we would use the remaining money to purchase a new mower to help us maintain our six football pitches.

Community impact

This project will have a significant impact on Prestatyn Sports FC and the wider local community. By bringing our old changing rooms and toilet facilities back into use, we will be able to use our existing and new facilities in tandem, allowing us to host many more football matches and activities at the same time.

This will particularly benefit our junior players, senior teams, visiting clubs, coaches, volunteers, parents and supporters. Having additional changing rooms and toilet facilities will give us much greater flexibility when organising fixtures, tournaments and training sessions, reducing the need to limit the number of teams and matches we can accommodate.

Our six pitches are an important community asset, and making better use of the facilities will allow more people to participate in football and enjoy being active. It will also help us welcome more visiting teams and create a busier, more inclusive environment at the club.

Ultimately, this project will help Prestatyn Sports FC grow, provide more opportunities for local people and make much better use of the facilities we already have.

1. Buy a seat in our stand
Become part of the history of Prestatyn Sports FC by sponsoring a numbered seat from 1–100. For just £30, you can have your name or a personalised plaque displayed on your seat, creating a lasting connection with the club.

2. Support us as a local business
Businesses can purchase an advertising board at the ground for £250. Your business will gain visibility while directly helping us improve our facilities and support local football.

3. Sponsor the stand
For £5,000, businesses or organisations can take on the naming rights to our stand, providing a fantastic opportunity for local sponsorship while making a major contribution towards our project.

4. Spread the word and fundraise
Share our fundraising campaign with friends, family, colleagues and on social media. You can also organise your own fundraising activity, such as a sponsored challenge or community event. Every contribution, big or small, brings us closer to our goal.
