Our Ocean is changing. So are we. Help future-proof seagrass meadows for nature, climate, and coastal communities to survive and thrive

Project Seagrass is the only charity dedicated to protecting and restoring one of the World's most valuable yet overlooked habitats: seagrass meadows. Our team of scientists, conservationists, educators, and community champions work across the UK and internationally to restore seagrass, advance research, engage local communities and inspire action for a healthier Ocean.

Our vision is a world where thriving seagrass meadows support abundant marine life, capture carbon, improve water quality, and help coastal communities prosper. 

But this summer showed us what a changing climate means for our coastlines. 

The impact to our seagrass meadows are putting wildlife, fisheries, water quality, and natural climate solutions at risk.

In the face of accelerating climate change, it has never been more critical to future-proof seagrass conservation to ensure that these important ecosystems continue to survive and thrive. 

But we need your help.

With your support, we will restore and protect seagrass meadows while inspiring more people to take part in Ocean recovery. The money raised through this campaign will help fund vital research, essential restoration activities including seagrass planting and monitoring, specialist equipment, community volunteer events, citizen science programmes and education initiatives that connect people with their local coast.

Every donation will help us bring life back to our seas, creating healthier marine ecosystems that benefit wildlife, climate, and future generations. Together, we can turn the tide for seagrass and build a more resilient future for our Ocean.
