Are you ready to join the movement?!
My name is Debbie Sheringham, a fully trained Dance Movement Psychotherapist, with a MA from the University of Roehampton, registered with the ADMP UK (an organisational member of the UKCP). My mission is to provide free and accessible mental health therapy to those who need it most - including people who struggle to communicate verbally.
I recently launched a non-profit organisation called Respair Therapy C.I.C., a social enterprise focused on promoting mental health from a body-first perspective. Through this social enterprise, I will provide various services for different client groups, but the ultimate aim is to make enough money to fund free therapy to those who find it difficult to have their voice heard.
As a previous CAMHS therapist with the NHS, I've witnessed first-hand how difficult it can be for some people to access appropriate therapy. That's why I'm passionate about using dance and movement to help people find their own unique way to communicate and connect with others.
Your support will help me kick-start this non-profit organisation and provide much-needed therapy to those who struggle to access psychological help. The funds raised will help to offer weekly therapy sessions to local enterprises including hospices, day centres for adults with profound multiple learning disabilities and schools for children with special educational needs. By supporting this campaign, you'll be joining me in my mission to improve access to mental health help and empower people of all abilities to move forward and grow.
If you can't give any money at the moment, please consider joining the movement by subscribing to our mailing list and help support my organisation's mission. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Thank you for your support!
