A limited run of a new book to mark Cheltenham Town's historic title win, using the proceeds to buy match tickets for local kids

 New stretch target

Thanks to your support we can make this project happen. We've added an additional 100 copies because of the huge demand so be quick!

All your dreams are made – Cheltenham Town are League Two champions. It's the first time in the club's 134-year history that the club have won a title in football's elite but it was well worth the wait. Michael Duff's side also took Pep Guardiola's Champions League finalists, Manchester City, to within nine minutes of a famous win back in January.

So if it could go right this season, it did.

But it was bittersweet because the fans were denied the chance to enjoy it in person and that's why we started to think about this new project. It was an extraordinary season before it developed the way it did, so we thought we'd pull our resources together to create an initial run of 250 copies of a new book to mark the occasion. And we need your help.

Producing a book is great, but we want to do something useful too so we have agreed with the club to ringfence all of the proceeds to buy tickets for Gloucestershire schoolchildren, enabling many to come to Whaddon Road for the first time next season.

There has been a lot of talk in recent times about the big Premier League clubs and the European Super League which take up all the oxygen in the football world, but we all firmly believe that Gloucestershire school children should have the opportunity to see third tier football in their hometown.

So it's more important now than ever to establish the club in the mind of young supporters, and we see next season as our the best opportunity in a long time to do that.

So why use Crowdfunder?
Using the platform gives us the ability to gauge the appetite for a new book and allows us to move into production quickly. There will be 250 copies at £20 each (hence our £5,000 target). It's important to point out that here are no platform fees for using Crowdfunder for this project.

Why the title?
This season the players have lugged around a huge music system which has become part and parcel of the travelling luggage for away games. This season they have adopted the Oasis song 'Morning Glory' and it featured heavily in the promotion and champions celebrations. The club also used the lyric 'All Your Dreams Are Made' on the front cover of the matchday programme for the Manchester City game and at this point in time, we feel it encapsulates the season. But if you have a better suggestion, let us know! All suggestions are welcomed.

Who's producing it?
It's a team effort. The book is going to be a joint effort between Richard Joyce, the club's media and communications manager, Jon Palmer of Gloucestershire Live, match photographer Alan Franklin and Murry Toms, an associate director who is also one of the club's matchday producers. There will also be contributions by manager Michael Duff, skipper Ben Tozer and club historian Paul Godfrey. We also want to feature as many fan pictures as we can. We will be using Daniel Parker to design it, who produces the club's matchday programme while our good friends at Typecraft will be helping us produce it.

What's it going to be?
The book will be A4 landscape, 164 pages long and 'perfect-bound'. It will be colour throughout with a 250gsm silk cover, 130gsm silk pages and a gloss laminate cover. We want it to be a pictorial record of a historic season, game-by-game, supported by the words of the club's reporter Jon Palmer and finished off with a stat or two by club media man Richard Joyce.

What do supporters get?
We will feature the names of all of our purchasers in the book as a thank you. You will be listed in the credits. As we've seen this season, great things happen at Cheltenham Town when we work together, and we hope this project is no exception! We also invite purchasers to send in a picture of their own to include in a special chapter which shows how you've supported the club away from the ground. Whether you've been in the garden with mates or at home with iFollow and a pint, let's build up a pictorial record of a historic season from a fans' perspective. We won the title together, and we want the book to reflect that.

When will it be ready?
We have already made a start, but we're a few weeks away yet. In the meantime we will try to drum up some pre-sales and aim to complete the book by the end of June, getting it out to purchasers in July. We will keep everyone updated as we go.

We have worked out that the book will cost £20 for each copy. It's simple to make a purchase – just select the reward on this page and follow the simple payment process. You will need to give us your address details in order for us to get it to you when it's complete.

If you want to buy more than one copy, simply state how many at the checkout and the price will be amended.

Please do not 'donate' your money as we will be unable to complete the transaction. Select the reward and provide all the details we require to complete the purchase.

And make sure you opt-in to 'project updates' after you've made your purchase. That will enable us to keep you updated on the progress of everything. You can contact all four of us on social media, and of course we'll use the club's account to keep everyone up-to-date.
