Aim
Help Ethical Consumer develop a bold new manifesto in Autumn 2026 to challenge corporate power beyond consumer markets
Thanks to more than 400 people, who generously supported our Phase I crowdfunder in Autumn 2025, we have been able to develop our understanding of how best to get to our vision of a world where:
- most enterprises are co-ops or social enterprises
- public and community ownership are thriving
- other stakeholders sit alongside shareholders on corporate boards everywhere
One year later we have developed a new, Autumn 2026 Phase II plan, which needs your support too. It involves working with other groups, like Friends of the Earth and Global Justice Now, to develop and campaign around a bold new "Manifesto" for a comprehensive response to corporate power.
The emerging manifesto currently has eight action areas.
To enable us to do this, we need to move the 'total raised so far' in the box above to £35,000 by December 10th.
We think that this approach could be one of the most effective ways to address the systemic environmental destruction around us and to challenge the rise of the far right.
