To raise money & spread awareness for Chain Of Hope who provide life saving heart treatments for children in developing & war torn countries
Hi, my name is Sue and I have been with BA for just over a year. I have always wanted to be cabin crew and I finally achieved my dream last year following a complete career change.
I also hope to achieve another one of my dreams by running the iconic London Marathon and raising money for such a worth while charity, Chain of Hope, who raise money for life saving heart treatments for children in developing and war-torn countries.
I have a strong affinity with this charity as my daughter, when she was very young, had a health condition whereby she had to undergo treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital. As a parent I do understand some of the anxiety and worry that the parents must feel when their child is undergoing life saving treatment. I believe that every child should have this chance.
I know there is going to be lots of hard work ahead in terms of training and fund raising but I know with the support of BA and our fantastic team running we will achieve our goals in this amazing event. I am really grateful for this opportunity and I will commit myself 100% to the cause.
