Enter the National Trust's fundraiser and win the chance of a money-can't buy experience to re-chalk the Cerne Abbas Giant!
Next summer, the National Trust is inviting ten supporters - plus a guest each - to take part in the re-chalking of the Cerne Abbas Giant. As part of our team of rangers and volunteers, this is your chance to get up close and personal to Britain's legendary 55 metre tall Giant.
You'll either dig out the old chalk from the Giant's outline and prepare him for the new chalk, or mix chalk with water and pack the outlines to help bring to life his bold shape.
This really is a money-can't-buy opportunity! We have ten prizes to give away as spaces are strictly limited to ensure everyone gets a hands-on role, expert guidance, and a chance to witness conservation and restoration in action.
To be in with a chance of winning one of ten re-chalking experiences, enter the prize draw before midnight on Sunday 4th January 2026.
Please note, the activity takes place on a hillside with a steep gradient and the work may be physically demanding (spade work and digging is a possibility along with groundwork and filling of chalk in the lines) and will involve hill climbing. Dogs are not permitted in the area when work is being carried out on the Giant.
Enter now and support a giant opportunity for nature!
The National Trust have looked after the Cerne Abbas Giant and the small plot of land he calls home since 1920. Now we have the chance to purchase and care for the surrounding 340 acres (138 hectares) – an area the size of 190 football pitches, or big enough to house 550 Cerne Abbas Giants – to safeguard the Giant's lair and the surrounding area for wildlife and heritage to flourish.
By entering our prize draw, you'll be helping us purchase and care for this nationally important site on behalf of the nation.
Through the prize draw you'll help our conservation experts and ranger teams to:
'This is a very rare opportunity to protect a huge swathe of beautiful and biodiverse countryside surrounding the Cerne Abbas Giant. Please join me in supporting this important appeal.' Sir Stephen Fry
