On the 30th September 2024 we'd raised £6,838 with 108 supporters in 151 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
CCYFC is a friendly village community youth football club, situated in West Herts, close to Hemel Hempstead, Watford and Kings Langley.
We offer youth football opportunities for boys and girls of all ages, including tots soccer (u5 and U6's), and mini-soccer U7's all the way through to U14's in mixed football and u18's girls. As an FA Chartered Development Status football team, Corinthians strives to provide a safe and fun environment where the children from the local community can get involved in football and start a life long love of the beautiful game.
CCYFC recognises the power and value in sport for improving individuals and groups mental and physical well being. Our Crowd funding initiative is aimed at continuing to keep our members and their parents active as well as encourage new members who might be or are at risk of being coming inactive. We have recently created links with Lime Walk school, which has been highlighted as being in an area of deprivation in Hemel Hempstead by Sport England and the Herts Sports Partnerships to encourage more less active children to become involved in football. CCYFC has worked in partnership with the school to obtain funding from the Opening Schools facilities funds whilst also delivering new football initiatives with the Herts FA such as Squad and Wildcats. CCYFC has been recognised by these efforts by receiving the Hertfordshire's Fa Grass roots club of the year award for 2024!

As we aim to get more inactive youngsters active (especially in the Bennets end area where Lime Walk School can be found, there continues to be a year on year increase in the numbers of boys and girls wanting to play football for CCYFC. As a result, we have had to grow our infrastructure and need to further improve our access and use of local facilities.
We need to purchase more Football Goals, lawnmowers, pitch maintenance equipment, line marker equipment, line-markers, line paint and hipping containers as Storage at the different and additional facilities we hire. The increase in players and in turn an increase in teams means we need to pay for more volunteers coaching qualifications, coaching kit and equipment, DBS checks, referee qualifications, junior coaches, new representative teams kits, new first aid equipment. We have increased Subs from £200 to £210 per person, but tried not to increase too much given the impact that the cost of living has had on a number of our members over the last x2 years. (we are aware that a number
Given the significant issues of the cost of living over the last few years, the club has had to work hard to fundraise
In 2022 we raised £9015
in 2023 we raised £11,059
The increase in maintenance and facilities costs of venues is kindly to be supported by the Football Foundation for up to 75% of the costs, but we still have to find the other 25% as well as the need to increase club funds so that more volunteers needing coaching qualifications, DBS checks, safeguarding courses etc can be met.
We project we will need to turn over at least £45,000 this year to cover the costs above as well as hiring training and match day facilities. We predict we will be around £12,000 short of breaking even.
The last three year of covid crisis and the impact of the cost of living has told us that we will not be able to meet this increased cost (turnover last year was £38,000 with our Club member Subs and football foundation funding, hence the crowd funding for extra match funding. Unfortunately the club has needed to help subsidise a number of children's memberships over the last years and this requirement of support sadly appears to be increasing!
If you are keen to help, that would be amazing and you can further support us through the kit sponsorship, perimeter board advertising, taking advantage of the Rewards opportunities or a simple donation through this Crowd Funding Website.
Any support is gratefully appreciated and will mean more inactive or children at the risk of becoming inactive will be able to play football without there being a financial barrier in the way.
CCYFC will be looking to grow, develop and improve;
1) Facilities spend - to purchase a pair of small 11aside goals
2) Purchase x2 Shipping containers
We will be looking to apply for Football Foundation Funding towards the goals and the containers, but this will only cover 75% of the £12,000 required in this area
3) We hope to generate around £3500 in shirt sponsorship (10 kits at £350) but we anticipate we will need another £2,000 to meet the kit clothing demands.
4) Each volunteer coach and or manager we create costs the club £250 in coaching qualifications, coaches clothing so they feel that they belong and are representing the club, coaching equipment, DBS Checks and Child protection and Safeguarding qualifications.
Chipperfield Corinthians Youth Football Club (CCYFC) serves as a vital hub for our local community, benefiting children, families, and volunteers alike.
Through our inclusive programs, we bring together children from diverse backgrounds, fostering friendships and camaraderie that transcend age, gender, and ethnicity.
By providing accessible and inclusive football opportunities, we foster a sense of belonging and unity among diverse members of the community. Families come together to support their children on match days, forging lasting connections with other parents and caregivers.
Moreover, our volunteer coaches and staff serve as role models and mentors, instilling values of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship in the next generation.
Beyond the pitch, CCYFC hosts events and fundraisers that engage local businesses and residents, strengthening bonds and promoting community pride.
Through football, CCYFC plays a pivotal role in promoting social cohesion and enhancing the quality of life for all members of our community.
