In June 2021 CCV lost all our tools in a fire at our storage shed, we need to replace our tools to continue our environmental work.
Cardiff Conservation Volunteers are a small charity local to Cardiff and South Wales. Each weekend we take a team of passionate volunteers into the countryside to enhance and conserve the environment around us. We are strongly committed to promoting education, accessibility and making the most of this beautiful country.
We provide a labour force to large bodies such as Natural Resources Wales, all the way to supporting and aiding local community councils in areas such as Radyr. Our skills, experience and enthusiasm is vital to some of these groups to help them reach their goals.
Unfortunately, in June of 2021 CCV were the victims of a Fire at Forest Farm Country Park. The area has seen its fair share of vandalism, with our tool shed being only one of several damaged structures there in the last few years. We lost all of our tools, trophies and history.
We have already raised the funding to replace our tool shed with a container. We are now asking for help in filling that container with the tools that really help us, to help others.
Even if you can't help financially, do get in contact with us and come along on a Sunday morning. Working in the fresh air is exercise for the mind as much as the body. It's a good cause and a great group of friends.
