We're still collecting donations

We would like to install external CCTV to protect the cricket ground and surrounding area having suffered from recent acts of vandalism.

On the 22nd March 2025 we'd raised £3,214 with 33 supporters in 42 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Plympton Cricket Club offers the opportunity to play, take part and watch cricket in the beautiful setting of Harewood Park. It is also a place for people to come together and socialise. The area is also used by the Tennis and Bowls club as well as being a well kept open space enjoyed by dog walkers, families, young people and the whole community.
Unfortunately this year we have suffered from several acts of gross vandalism, including arson (bins set on fire), graffiti, littering and dreadful damage to the cricket square caused by e-bikes.
This damage is costly to repair in terms of money and the hours our volunteers put in to producing a first class playing surface to enjoy cricket played at the highest level in the county.
Following the recent damage, the police have recommended installing CCTV to act as a deterrent, but also to help in building evidence to catch the people causing this damage.
We hope that by installing the CCTV it will make people feel safe to use Harewood Park and deter any more acts of vandalism.
However this does not come cheap so we need your help to raise the money to install the CCTV.
