We're still collecting donations
On the 19th September 2022 we'd raised £5,290 with 44 supporters in 42 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

The more we raise the more people we can help to get creative in Camborne and beyond!
Creativity for everyone!
We recognise that not everyone can afford to attend our courses so have been offering free places to local residents on an ad hoc basis. This isn't financially sustainable long term so we are asking for support for open this programme up, to allow up to 100 local residents to get creative with us for free.
Our aim is to be as inclusive as possible, which is why we want to offer free places on our regular courses rather than to segregate those who can pay and those who can't. However, we also recognise that some people aren't ready to integrate into mainstream courses so we will also be putting on courses tailored specifically to their needs.
Camborne is one of the most deprived towns in the country. In June 2021 it was announced that Camborne has been awarded £23.7million to fund eight projects which will revitalise the town, one of which is the Camborne Contemporary Crafts Hub. Through the Camborne Town Deal the Donald Thomas Centre, an iconic, but underused, Greek Revival building in the town centre will be transformed into a state of the art community creative facility. However, this funding is purely capital for the building renovation - nothing for activities and events for people in the town. That's where you can help with this Crowdfunder!
Angela, Jane and Helen share the ethos that creativity should be accessible to anyone, and this principle is behind everything that Create CIC does. They believe that exposure to creativity at all levels can inspire and empower anyone.
