Our aim is to build on the incredible success of Cornwall’s first Disability Cricket Team, South West League Champions 2025!
Formed in 1996, Cornwall Cricket Board provides opportunities for adults and children, aged 5 and up, of all abilities to take part in cricket across Cornwall.
We want to grow cricket in the county by providing more opportunities for people to play, enabling them to discover and share their passion for the game.
Our proudest achievement to date is the creation of Cornwall’s first ever Disability Cricket Team – and in only their second season, they are already South West League Champions 2025 and winners of the BBC Radio Cornwall Make a Difference Awards. These incredible milestones show just how much the team has grown and how much more is possible with the right support.
Our aim is to build on the incredible success of the Cornwall Super 9's, by making competitive cricket fully accessible to people with disabilities across the county. We want to remove financial and practical barriers so that every player, regardless of background or ability, has the equipment, support and opportunities needed to develop their skills, represent Cornwall with pride, and be part of a thriving, inclusive cricketing community.

Our vision is to continue building on the success of Cornwall’s first Disability Cricket Team and create even more opportunities for people with disabilities to play cricket competitively.
Cornwall Cricket Board Disability Cricket already delivers school engagement sessions and runs accessible Lord’s Taverners Super 1’s Cricket & Table Cricket programmes across the county. We are also expanding Disability Cricket Champion Hubs (clubs) in Cornwall, but our County Team takes things a step further by offering competitive cricket at a regional level.
Opening up cricket to more people with disabilities not only develops sporting skills but also builds confidence, independence and social networks. Many of our players first came to sessions to try cricket for fun – now they are representing Cornwall with pride and winning championships!
To keep this journey going, we need to make sure all players can access the opportunities available, regardless of income. That’s why we’re crowdfunding: to cover essential costs such as playing kit, equipment, venue hire and travel, so that finances are never a barrier to being part of the team.

To make sure every player can fully take part, we need to provide a wide range of protective equipment to suit different abilities and disabilities.
Your support will help us fund:
By covering these costs, we can reduce the financial burden on families and carers, making sure cricket is open to every player who wants to be involved.

Creating and sustaining a Disability County Team for Cornwall is about more than cricket. It’s about inclusion, representation, and opportunity.
This team has already shown what can be achieved – Champions of the South West in just their second season – and they’ve inspired communities across Cornwall with their dedication, teamwork and passion.
Being part of this team doesn’t just transform the lives of the players – it also creates a strong sense of belonging for their families, carers and supporters. Every match brings people together, proving the power of sport to break down barriers and build community.
By supporting this campaign, you’re not just funding cricket – you’re investing in a future where disability sport in Cornwall continues to thrive, inspire and succeed.

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
