Established in 2018 and registered with the Charities Commission, we rescue, rehabilitate and rehome cats and kittens who are abandoned and unwanted. All veterinary care is provided for them regardless of cost. No cat is ever euthanised unless our vets deem there is no more treatment and they are suffering. We believe every cat has the right to live and be loved.

What we do
We rescue and rehome the cats nobody wants. We provide neutering, chip and vaccinations as standard plus any other veterinary care regardless of cost no matter what age the cat is.
We have been established since 2018 and registered with the Charities Commisison in 2019. We currently operate with a network of home based fosterers but due to unprecedented need we need to expand and find a way to fund the rescue securely on a long term basis.
Our plans
The rescue sector is in crisis and we are seeing more cats abandoned and surrendered than ever before.
We need our own premises and have acquired some land on a local farm. Our plan is to build a rescue with separate cattery premises that will be non-profit and fund the rescue.
There is huge demand for good quality cattery space and alongside the desperate need for more rescue space, we believe we can build a centre that will serve the cats and kittens of Wigan and the North West for years to come.
We also want to support the local community by:
- Providing short term crisis foster space for those who find themselves homeless and facing the trauma of also having to give up their pets. We will link in with local social care and voluntary sector organisations ot suport the most vulnerable
- Providing short term foster for cats belonging to elderly people who require brief hospital admissions
- Support local children with the development of their reading by inviting them to read to and thereby help socialise, our rescue cats. They will also learn about how to care for cats - in particular the need for neutering, chipping and vaccinating
We have the support of a local builder, plans for the pens that will meet DEFRA and local council standards, and people to manage the centre. We now need the funds to build!
Our vision is to support the most vulnerable cats in our society and educate the next generation of cat owners so the current crisis is never repeated.
Thank you so much for your donation.
