Aim

The aim of this project is to print 100 of these mini books and send them out to you guys. I want my book to be affordable to everyone.

My name is Katy and I am an artist, illustrator and author and I made this book called The Cat Inspector amongst others.  I want to get the story into more hands without the high print on demand prices that come with buying from online stores.

So I am hoping to give away 100 mini A6 sized books, with the costs covering postage and packaging and crowdfunder fees.

The story is about a little girl who thinks she is in charge and goes around telling a cat off for doing cat-like things.  It's rhythmical and colourful and kids love it.  It's suitable to be read to ages 1-4 years old.

what caught my eye was the colourful pictures & I like cats too. Very easy to read

My seven-year-old and I love this. My seven-year-old loved reading it on her own and love spotting the spider on every page. We all know the cat wasn’t really naughty. The cat being rainbow coloured added to a rather cute surrealism vibe. Any cat owners will relate to feline antics  Over all a gorgeous quirky and colourful picture book.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading it ,had me howling .
Very colourful book and naughty curios cats .
Made me remember how many questions childrens ask.

I absolutely adore the illustrations and so did my little one during his night time read tonight. The book is all about the adventures of a very naughty cat.
The cat is always up to no good until the cat finally makes the right choice. This book is tailored towards a younger audience as my little one had quite a giggle.

This book made me reflect on my own younger reading days. The thoughtfulness and love encouraged me to keep reading on. My little one asked if we could re-read it once done.

What a brilliant, well thought out little story. I'm a grown up and I really liked the book, so I would hope alot of children will feel the same. The drawing and illustrations are just wonderful. It so reminded me of my Mum's cat Olive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rhythmical Book Young Children
The simple, repetitive, rhythmical sentences used in this book make it ideal to be read aloud to young children between the ages of 1 and 4 years old. It has appealing, colourful illustrations that attract young children. The repetition used will encourage children to ask to have it read many times again. Recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lovely illustrations of a cute cat!
What a lovely story about a naughty cat, I love that the Author is also an artist because my favourite part is the illustrations, which I think may be from paintings? It’s a very sweet cat too and very colourful! Great for younger kids.

4.0 out of 5 stars Colourful silk painting illustrations.
A very simple but charming little book for 1-4 year olds. I enjoyed the silk painting illustrations they're unusual and colourful. It would work well as a readaloud at bed times - I think little children will enjoy the rhythmic cadence of the story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Grab it!
An absolute gem of a book! The silk paintings are fabulous and give the book a proper keepsake value. The story itself is quirky, fun, non-preachy and wonderful to read over and over. Highly recommended...and I can't wait to read the sequel!

The book has these benefits:

Enhance understanding and and joining in

Capture children's attention quickly

Conveys emotions effectively

Supports early literacy development

Rhymes help children hear, identify, and manipulate individual sounds, laying the groundwork for reading.

The predictable rhythm of rhymes makes it easier for children to remember and recall information.

Rhymes provide opportunities for children to expand their vocabulary and understand the structure of language.

The rhythmic patterns and repetition in rhymes enhance pattern recognition skills, which are essential for learning complex concepts.

The playful and entertaining nature of rhymes captures children's attention and fosters a love for reading.
