to provide solace for those in recovery, through the love of crafts, in creating 'comforters' to support a joyful approach in convalecsing

by Catherine Hunt in Grange-over-Sands, , United Kingdom

1736775144_cath_original_cape_sml2.jpgAfter a couple of hospital stays of my own in the last two years, and crafts playing a big part of my convalescense, I would love to share and support others through their recovery.

Whether that is making a visit to hospital or a care home, to an organisation to instruct groups for a 'creative play date' or to provide items for sale to be sent to someone in need, my mission is to curate spaces for fostering ideas to flourish, from vibrant enthusiasm, feeding the imagination and being aligned to living purposefully.

1736775571_intention_action_magic.jpegWith enthusiam I believe everyone has the talent to be creative in some form and in spending time, either 1 to 1 or in small groups, this latent potential can be realised for our own health and wellbeing, or to aid that of others.

Since 1995 I have been building my career around caring for others. After studying Art I trained in Anatomy, Physiology and Body Massage, adding qualifications in Coaching, Counselling and a myriad of physical therapy over the years.  Techniques such as Myofascial Release, Dynamic Forearm and Reflexology creating a firm foundation of an holistic practice.

Bringing the two aspects together, Art for Healing, has been an underlying aspect throughout my career, and now feels the perfect time to truly align my talents.

I have the abilities to adapt my practice to suit people where they are at, in place, in time and for what they need.   Whether that is in private clinic, on locations in organisations or even in a field at summer festivals.  Seeing people on their way to better understanding themselves is a joy.

Over the years my career has taken me to many different locations and i'm excited to see how the next will unfurl.
