We're using Crowdfunder to launch our debut collection, offering you the chance to pre-order exclusive Catch The Sunrise jewellery. You can customise your own necklace, select the perfect colour for a bracelet and even have a ring made to measure. Pledge to have a piece of jewellery created just for you or choose a bespoke gift for someone special - made and delivered in time for Christmas. 

Catch The Sunrise was born out of early morning musings, road trips and fresh air. We believe that jewellery doesn't need to be overly swirly, fussy or flowery to be beautiful. Our signature style is centred on simplicity, and ready for adventure. 

In our studio we handcraft every piece of jewellery ourselves, using a combination of traditional and creative silversmithing techniques to create each piece. We strive to use materials and practices that are environmentally responsible and look after our planet. The best jewellery shouldn't cost the earth, so ours is made using metals from certified recycled sources wherever possible. Reducing the demand for newly mined metals helps protect the earth from the environmental damage caused by mining.

Our debut collection Sea to Sky was inspired by the rugged wilderness along the west coast of British Columbia, Canada. We wanted to create effortless jewellery that you can wear wherever your feet take you. Go climb a mountain, trek through a forest and splash in the sea - we won't hold you back. We've road tested them (hard) over the last 10 months and we're now ready to share them with you. 

With the right tools, we will be unstoppable. For us to grow our collection and become a sustainable business, we need to buy more specialist machinery and equipment. Some girls dream of designer gowns and stilettos, we dream of pillar drills and barrelling machines. 

We also need to register with the British Hallmarking Council and The Goldsmiths' Company Assay Office. It's a legal requirement for an Assay Office to hallmark anything containing precious metals if they are described as such. Although sterling silver jewellery weighing less than 7.78g is exempt, gold jewellery weighing 1g or more must be hallmarked.

The minimum amount we needed was £1000 to invest in a specialist jeweller's drill and set up hallmarking for Catch The Sunrise. Now that we've reached our first two milestones, we are now focused on our next goal. If we hit £3,000 we will be able to start casting the dreamy designs we've sketched up for you in molten silver and gold. The more we raise, the more freedom we will have to buy additional equipment that'll give the business room to grow. 

By the end of our first year, we'd like to have our online shop live and running smoothly. In our second year, we're aiming to work with a greater variety of materials and precious stones, bringing more choice to our community of wild women. By year three, it's our ambition to make all of our jewellery using recycled metals. As part of our commitment to be sustainability and positivity, we will also be looking to partner with a grass-roots charity working to give women opportunities to shine. 

The driving force behind all this is Sami Mauger, a free range female based on the north coast of Cornwall. After years of struggling to find contemporary adventure-ready jewellery, she decided to make her own.

It all began with training from accomplished silversmith Stuart Griffiths in January 2017. This was the spark that started the fire burning. She secured a space in a creative studio, bought her own tools and set out to make her dream a reality. When Boardmasters Festival arrived in Newquay in August, she ran a pop-up store with the help of her friends. The incredible interest over the festival was the catalyst that turned that small flame into a something much greater.

Q. Which countries can you ship rewards to?

Rewards include Royal Mail Signed For delivery to UK addresses, but you can pay a little extra to have your parcel delivered elsewhere.

Q. Will the rewards be shipped in time for Christmas?

A. Yes, all rewards will made and shipped before Christmas. Let us know if you need your reward sooner.

Q. Can I pledge anonymously?

A. Yes, you can opt to hide your name from other supporters list by ticking the relevant box when you make your pledge. Don't worry, we will still be able to see your details. If you are pre-ordering a reward as a gift, this is a great option. 

Q. Can I pledge on more than one reward?

A. Yes, you can choose as many rewards as you like. You will need to make a new separate pledge for each reward. If you get stuck, you can message [email protected] for help.

Q. How do I know what size ring I need?

A. Rings are available in these standard sizes; Midi (G), Small (K), Medium (M) , Large (O). However, if you know exactly what size ring you need, we can make it to order.

Q. How do I submit the details for my bespoke jewellery?

A. When this Crowdfunder project closes on 27th October, you will receive an email with a simple form for you to submit your bespoke requests. This is where you will be able to specify the options relevant to your rewards, such as the words you would like stamped or a specific ring size.

Q. Is there any limit to what I can have stamped on my bespoke jewellery?

A. While there are no restrictions on the words you choose, there is a limit to the number of characters you can have on each piece. Lunar necklaces can have up to 6 characters. Horizon necklaces can have up to 9 characters. Coast bracelets can have up to 30 characters. Characters include letters, numbers, spaces and the ampersand symbol (&). We are not able to stamp any other special characters at this time.
