To raise enough money to carry on running our local Cat Rescue and Rehoming Project.
Who are we?
Wyth Sir (8 Counties) is a self-funded local Branch of the RSPCA providing animal welfare to a large area of South Wales (Newport, Merthyr Tydfil, RCT, Monmouthshire, South Powys, Torfaen, Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly).
All money we raise stays in our area, supporting local animals and their owners in these tough times.
What do we do?

This Project
Towards the latter part of 2022 Wyth Sir Branch saw a rising need for animal welfare within the 8 Counties we cover. In order to help with this growing crisis we employed two Animal Welfare Officers.
Predominantly due to the cost of living crisis, we saw a huge increase in animals being dumped, abandoned and owners pleading for us to find new homes for their animals.
We do everything we can to help these animals stay in loving homes by providing welfare visits for; food donations, vet vouchers, help attending vet appointments and advice and guidance.
Unfortunately, despite all our efforts, these animals often need to find new homes.
So in 2023 we started our local Cat Rehoming Project and a gave over 150 cats/kittens a second chance in the loving homes they deserved!!
Costs
Boarding fees alone cost nearly £15,000.
Vet fees was over £10,000 (as you can imagine some of the abandoned ones are in very poor health).
Summary
We need your help to carry on this amazing project which has already given so many cats and kittens a second chance in a loving home.
