Carshalton Festival

Aim

We want to shine the best possible light on one of the best parts of London, and we need your help.

The @carshaltonfestival is back! 

From the morning of Saturday June 27th to the evening of Sunday July 5th. The festival will run across the whole of Carshalton in South London showcasing the work of local, national and international artists, musicians and performers.

The arts can be a force for hope and optimism in a sometimes intolerant world. We recognise that the arts, in its widest sense, can bring diverse members of our community together in an inclusive, vibrant and welcoming space. We choose hope. 

We started Carshalton Festival in 2022 , with a week-long festival aiming to showcase the cultural wealth and diversity that exists in the area, incorporating high quality dance, spoken word, music, theatre, visual arts, combined arts, heritage and library events. The event was planned by the teams behind Cryer Arts, Cryer Folk and Carshalton Artists

We aim to deliver an exciting week long arts festival program from Saturday June 27th to Sunday July 5th. The festival will engage its visitors in a range of paid and free cultural experiences in professional artists' open studios, thriving theatre spaces, music in pubs, programs in heritage buildings, collaborations with local businesses and exhibitions in galleries. 

And we need you to help us.

We value our community and the place that the creative industry has in that community. We wish to support our venues and artists.  

Any funds we raise through crowd funding will go towards ensuring we can cover the costs of hiring spaces and paying artists, whether this is live music, theatre or film showings, dance, spoken word and interactive events, installations and parades. Funds will also go towards publicising the events, in order to reach as many people as possible.
