Like so many other towns around the country, Carnoustie's Christmas Lights are an annual visual tradition for the community on the lead up Christmas. This year sadly Angus hit the local headlines, with the news of no budget set aside by the council, to put up or indeed take down/ store these lights. So, it’s now down us, all of us as a Community, to make this tradition continue!
At last year's Christmas Lights Switch On, Carnoustie Community Council's dedicated and newly formed Christmas subcommittee worked hard to bring a new format to the annual event. We hope those of you who attended would agree the evening was the best it had been for many years, with local entertainers, stall holders, food vendors and high street shops all taking part.
This year we are looking to bring you an even bigger and better evening of entertainment along Carnoustie High Street and hope you can all support us to make this happen!
Carnoustie's Christmas Light Switch On will happening on Sunday 26th November 2017, and now you can play a part in providing a little bit of Christmas magic to your community
Why get involved?
We really want to make sure Carnoustie has lights and a switch on event this year and we also want to grow the display into a bigger and better attraction year on year.
Please help us make this year even better than last year and if lucky enough, any funds raised over and above what we need, will be kept for next year, to help store the lights, buy replacements and perhaps even add more too!
