ADDITIONAL PROJECT INFORMATION

My name is Gareth Morgan and I'm an Independent filmmaker who has been making films for over a decade, under the banner of Zenithfilms. 

I am mostly know for my feature length fan films 'Silent Hill Requiem', 'Splatterhouse: Jennifer Smells of Rot' and my most recent short film 'Syndicate Wars: Hostile Takeover'.

Where in the Universe is Carmen Sandiego? is inspired by the hit video game franchise Carmen Sandiego and sees Carmen go on her grandest caper of all time!

Since Carmen has already been around the world, and travelled throughout history, this new adventure will take Carmen back into space. 

This film will also stay within Carmen Sandiego's educational genre and keep its family friendly edge.

The story will span the known Universe, using what science has told us of the planets that exist in the Goldilocks Zones of their Suns. 

Thus educating people on the potential of life on other planets, while using calculated fiction to populate these planets with a plethora of potential species that could be at our current level of society or beyond.

This is a fan film and not associated with HarperCollins in any way.

Myself and Olwen, our leading lady, have wanted to tell this story for sometime now. I believe I am at that point in my career to create the distinctive worlds that will populate this Sandiego caper, through my story telling skills and use of my unique art style and editing techniques.

To prove I am capable of producing this film, I have already created a 10 minute Proof of Concept of Where in the Universe is Carmen Sandiego?, which you can watch in the video above!

This Proof of Concept features Carmen and the new player, Agent Thare, setting the scene for this grand adventure. 

The Proof was made on a budget of a few hundred pounds, so imagine how much further I can go with a larger budget!

To turn this Proof into a full feature film I am going to need a minimum budget of £5,000 and to achieve that I am going to need your help.

By donating you will be helping me make the Carmen Sandiego film that you have always wanted to see, which myself and my team are incredibly passionate about!

Over my years of being a film maker I have developed the perfect team of actors that believe in my work and have shown undying commit towards my style, characters and stories. They are an incredibly talented team that can produce unparalleled and believable characters within the worlds that I create.

The Crew

I have the unique experience that I write, direct, edit and do all the visual effects on my work. These skills I have developed over my entire career as an artist from when I was a writer, actor, dancer and photographer. I of course can not do everything and I work with an exceptional crew in all other aspects of film making.

WHAT WE NEED & WHAT YOU GET

To turn Where in the Universe is Carmen Sandiego? from this Proof of Concept into a feature film, I have calculated that the minimum budget I need is £5,000. 

This may seem like a small amount, but this is because I already have access to all my own equipment and studio in which to make my films.

By donating to this project you will receive some awesome rewards, along with the knowledge that you have helped in the creation of a brilliant Carmen Sandiego fan film.

FYI - Regarding Generative AI: I have never and will never use Gen AI/LLM's (Large Language Models) to create any aspect of my work.

The Proof of Concept was made with a few hundred pounds, by giving us a larger budget it means I go much further than I was able to in the Proof.
