Caring for Township Pets during Lockdown

During the Lockdown the poorer parts of South Africa are struggling to put food on the table for their family. So finding money to pay for pet food is incredibly hard. The Hermanus Animal Welfare Society does heartwarming work distributing pet food and caring for animals across the townships in Hermanus.  Outwith Lockdown they respond to reports of animal abuse and look after starving, maltreated, abandoned and sick animals, recuperating them until they can be rehomed with a caring family. All I ask is that you donate the price of one beer for my birthday. 

Pets bringing companionship and love to the children of poor communities and especially during lock down they are source of hope.  Animals are the blameless victims of this crisis and I hope that you can open you hearts and spare a few pounds. I know it's a difficult time for all of us, so even a share of this campaign will be appreciated.  The best birthday present I could get was knowing that a family’s pet can be saved. Please ignore the suggested donations, every little helps.

 As an added incentive, if we reach a £200 I will shave my head. Yes, completely! Anyone who knows me, knows how long, I have had long hair and the sight of seeing me bald must be worth something.
