Your support makes a difference

Aim: No parent should feel alone when raising a neurodivergent child. With CareConnect, you have a supportive community right in your pocket.

CareConnect story

Parenting a neurodivergent child can feel overwhelming—like juggling fire while reading a map with no labels. We get it, because we’ve lived it.

That’s why we created CareConnect—a supportive, community-powered app built from real-life experience right here in Aberdeen, Scotland. Our mission is simple: to make life easier for unpaid family carers across the UK.

We believe that when you lift social isolation and make it easier to access the right support, you do more than just solve problems—you give parents the space to breathe, reconnect, and live a fuller life. CareConnect isn’t just about services and schedules. It’s about helping families feel in control again—and maybe even have time for that second cup of tea (while it’s still hot).

Our Mission

At CareConnect, our mission is to reduce the loneliness, chaos, and guesswork that so many families of neurodivergent children face every single day.

Did you know that over 3 in 5 parents of neurodivergent children report feeling socially isolated? And that loneliness has been shown to be as harmful to your health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day? That’s not just a statistic—it’s a reality we’ve lived.

We’re on a mission to change that.

CareConnect is here to reconnect families—with support, with trusted services, and with each other. We’re creating a pocket-sized village where advice is real, carers are vetted, and you can finally ask for help without the guilt (or paperwork).

We believe that by reducing isolation and improving access to the right care and community, we give parents the one thing they need most: the chance to breathe, rebuild, and thrive, not just survive.

Built for families, powered by community. We’re not just building an app. We're building a movement—where families never feel isolated again.

Key Feature: The Community Calendar

One of the unique strengths of CareConnect is its ability to turn digital interactions into real-world support. Our Collaborative Community Calendar does exactly that. It’s not just a tool to list events—it’s a dynamic, living space where parents and carers can plan, offer, and request help.

Parents can add events like local meet-ups, playdates, support group meetings, school information sessions, or even a walk in the park. Other parents can join with a tap, get reminders, and sync with their own schedules. The calendar simplifies coordination without needing multiple apps, emails, or group chats.

But more than events, the calendar is also a support-exchange engine. Need someone to help with pickup? Offer to watch someone’s child for an hour? Looking to start a weekend sensory play group? The calendar empowers parents to offer and receive help in a structured, visible, and respectful way.

The user interface is visually clean and easy to navigate—whether you’re tech-savvy or completely new to digital platforms. With colour-coded options, gentle reminders, and opt-in notifications, the calendar integrates naturally into busy lives.

To promote inclusivity, users who frequently support others are highlighted as “community champions”—in a friendly, non-competitive way. It creates an organic culture of mutual aid, not obligation.

Why this matters: Carers are often time-poor and overwhelmed. They need tools that reduce—not add to—their daily complexity. The Community Calendar transforms ad hoc help into something easy, visible, and actionable. It helps bring local families together, fostering both online and offline connection.

Real impact: For many parents, especially those without extended family nearby, this calendar can become a primary support channel. It empowers community care, eases daily burdens, and builds confidence to both give and ask for help.

The calendar also opens the door for collaboration with local NGOs, schools, and support services. Organisations can use it to share workshops or training sessions, and families can discover opportunities they might otherwise miss.

In short, this feature turns good intentions into practical, real-life support—reminding carers they don’t have to carry the load alone.

Who we are: Three Engineers, One Mission.

We’re three friends living in Aberdeen—Salam, Louis, and Murat—brought together by a shared purpose: building something meaningful for families like ours. Though we come from different backgrounds and work in oil and gas, what truly connects us is CareConnect. Two of us are dads to amazing neurodivergent kids, and all of us believe that no parent should face this journey alone. Our differences are our strength, and our friendship is the heart of this project. CareConnect isn’t just an app—it’s our way of making sure no one feels left behind.
