Aim
To improve physical health and improve and SAVE life chances in an emergency situation
Our organization was first formed in response to community action driven by a dedicated group of local people who suffered the loss of a loved one due to a heart attack.
The group was shocked to discover that Public Health England reports that the North West has a specific profile for high incidents of Cardiovascular Disease. Deaths from heart attacks and strokes are particularly high in Manchester, above the national average.
This project seeks to improve preventative measures for a high-risk group recovering from the challenging impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.
This project will offer a package of support across a wide community network including:
- First aid training kits
- 8 cardiac defibrillators
- A series of basic life support and defibrillator training sessions
- Printed information for use in homes
Run First Aid Courses in English, Yiddish, and Hebrew. Each course will run 5 times a year for adults (18 hours) and for children (5 hours).
