Aim
We're setting up a new café at The Glider Club, Nympsfield! We're planning simple lunches, great coffee & pop-up eves, but we need some kit!
As many of you will know, we had to close Thistledown nearly a year ago. We have been offered the lease for The Glider Club café, near Selsley common which we're very excited about - a nice little café and kitchen with a good garden (where you can watch gliders take off just meters away!), plenty of parking, the Cotswold Way next-door and Selsley common just down the road - it's a great spot for a post-walk coffee and snack! To start with we plan to offer delicious coffee, homemade cakes and simple food Fri, Sat & Sun, with pop-up evenings and brunch events where we can be a bit more creative with the food. Expect some old favourites such as carrot cake, homemade paneer and ful madames, as well as some exciting new dishes! All being well we'll open at some point in January. We'd love to get a wood fired oven outside and do some pizza nights in the summer!
This time around Tallulah, Ebn and I will own the company - employee owned and run is the plan! We are hoping to raise some money towards kit to get us started (such as coffee machine, dishwasher, ovens and so on). The rewards on offer give you a discount on the planned RRPs, so we hope that you can support us and get a good deal for yourself, or even buy a whole load of offers for Christmas presents! Alternatively you can donate without a reward - maybe you've made too much money this year? Perhaps you really like Ebn's hair? Whatever the reason, thank you. We promise to spend it wisely (e.g. hair products).
