Would you please help us raise funds for cancer immunotherapy treatment for Rob Kirby.
My husband Rob is a 56 year old family man, who has been fiercely battling oesophagus cancer since Sept 2017. In January 2019 it spread to his liver and things hit a new low in August 2020 when it spread further, to his brain. Since July 2020 Rob has been unable to work and I began caring for Rob whilst also working full time from home to support my family. The Covid pandemic unfortunately stole valuable memory making time and now, although everyone has more freedom, Rob has deteriorated physically and it is more challenging for us to enjoy time as a family and make those all important memories.
Throughout, Rob has been positive and strong; taking everything in his stride - 3 major surgeries, numerous rounds of debilitating chemo, sabre knife radiotherapy and gamma knife radiosurgery and always, always pushing himself to recovery. But we are sadly running out of options and our oncologist has recommended an immunotherapy drug called Nivolumab. Unfortunately we don't have the luxury of time to wait for it on the NHS and it is seen as experimental, so we are raising money to fund the treatment privately.

It is always hard to ask people for money and especially now with a cost of living crisis, but anything you could contribute would mean the world to us - it will mean Rob having more time with his family and especially our son, Matthew, who turns 18 in October.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
