Aim: We aim to send support boxes to patients with head and neck cancer to help make a meaningful difference in their journey
The Swallows Head & Neck Cancer Charity is dedicated to individuals affected by head and neck cancers and plays a crucial role in providing support and resources.
The support boxes we send out include:
Practical Support Items:
- Soft toothbrushes and mild toothpaste (suitable for sensitive mouths post-treatment).
- Non-scented moisturizers for skin care during radiation therapy.
- Reusable water bottles to encourage hydration.
Comfort Items:
- Lip balms or throat lozenges.
Educational Resources:
- Leaflets about managing side effects, nutrition tips, and emotional well-being.
- Contact details for relevant support groups or helplines.
Mental and Emotional Support:
- A journal or notebook with a pen.
Making a difference in the fight against head and neck cancers Our cancers pose unique challenges, affecting vital areas, the mouth, throat, nose, and salivary glands. Coping with the physical, emotional, and financial burdens can be overwhelming for individuals and their families. We step in to provide support, awareness, and hope.
