Can we win the River Festival Community Raft Race?

Aim
We are taking the 'plunge' (hopefully not!) and entering a home-made raft into the Maidstone River Festival community raft race on 26/7/25.
Maidstone River Festival has been a popular event in the town for nearly 50 years. We've been a chosen charity for the last 3 years by the Committee who are passionate about Maidstone and recognise the important work we do for the town.
We've decided to throw ourselves in whole-heartedly this year and make a home-made raft to take part in the community raft race, racing from the High level bridge to St Peter's bridge against other community groups and businesses.
It's a hilarious race as some make it and others sink to the amusement of the onlookers and people on boats moored for the festival.
Our 'Lovingly Restored' team are putting together a mystery craft. Will you support us by sponsoring our team to win - actually finishing the race will do! Our entry fee has gone to Heart of Kent Hospice but any sponsorship we raise beyond that is for our charity's local support of the community in need in Maidstone through the work of our Outreach Centre.
