It is a general principle that every UK MP is required by their Code of Conduct to uphold the law. This rule derives from the fact that Democracy is built on the Rule of Law , so that any and every UK MP who votes to break the law is thereby voting to undermine both the law, and UK democracy itself.
Home Secretary Braverman introduced a Bill to Parliament which later became the Illegal Migration Act 2023. The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Mr Volker Turk, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Mr Filippo Grandi , and the UK Parliamentary Joint Committee on Human Rights have all said that Braverman's Illegal Migration Act 2023 Act is unlawful. Yet over 300 Conservative MPs voted to make Braverman's Bill become law, thereby breaching their own Code of Conduct in the most serious possible way , and fatally undermining the Rule of Law and Democracy in the UK.
It is possible that those MPs who voted to support Braverman's Bill as she requested can as a result of their votes now be prosecuted for the serious crime of Misconduct in Public Office , so we will now seek an opinion on whether those MPs , including Ms Braverman , can and should now be prosecuted for the serious crime of Misconduct in Public Office.
This crowdfunder is to raise funds for the legal Opinion upon which the prosecution can be based, and related administration.
