Our initial invitation to showcase our band Campfire Social over in America was way back in March 2020. We had 50% of the costs funded (which was why we could afford to do it) everything was booked, shows were announced & meetings scheduled (and we'd even started packing) then we all know what happened...
Since things went back to 'normal' (using that term loosely) we have been trying to work a way to make this dream happen again.
In 2023 & 2024 we were invited again but had to make the decision to put all our funds & energy either into our album OR showcasing over in the States. Obviously sitting on all those songs that meant so much to us (and you folks) was something we just couldn't do so we put everything into our debut album 'They Sound The Same Underwater' and we're so incredibly proud of it.
We received another invitation last year to not only showcase at SXSW in Austin, Texas but to also be an official artist at New Colossus Festival in New York City! With our album being out in the wild we felt like this is the perfect time to show America what we've got!
Unfortunately we haven't been able to get any funding for this opportunity & costs have risen a hell of a lot so we thought we would give this a go. Plus we've got some real fun rewards that we think y'all will love!
