Community impact

The boxing club over the years and has taken many children off the streets and gave them a purpose, producing Irish and Ulster champions. We have taken all sides of the community in and the doors are open to all. This fundraiser would lead the well to making the club more attractive to new starters and to existing boxers

Why are we crowdfunding

As many will know our current premises is very small, and with over 40 members the club is cramped, not allowing new members to start is holding the club back. We have explored many avenue in the past about getting new premises all which have hit dead ends are have not be viable financially for a club our size. With any funding granted we would be hoping of extending current premises and purchasing new and improved equipment. During covid we lost alot of momentum and members and we feel a new, bigger and improved equipment would get us back on track.

How we’ll spend the money raised

With money raised we plan to extend the size of our premises. The ring in the current premises takes up 50 percent of floor space, which doesn't give much room for much else. We would also upgrade our punch bags, add more gloves (alot were giving away during covid) and hope to level the floor in our current space.

Another thing we would like to do is upgrade our canvas, and ropes as alot of blood sweat and tears have gone into them over the years as you can in the photo below with 2 kids in the ring.
