Project aim

Callum gives his own time, money & heart to raise money for charity now he needs help after his car was left un-driveable by a hit and run

About the project

On Monday, July 27th Callum's brand new and first car was hit by a driver, who fled the area without stopping to take responsibility for what she did or leave her details, leaving Callum to pay for her wreckless driving.

While Callum is spending his money doing freelance work for charity and aspiring to set up his own business he is going to have to fork out £400 he doesn't have, to pay for the damages caused by another driver.

After a Facebook appeal the car was spotted, in less than 24 hours and the details were given to the Police and Callum's insurers. The police are investigating and the insurers are pursuing the other driver's insurance. However, it has been exposed that the other drive does not have tax or MOT and so it might be a while before Callum gets the money because not having tax and MOT invalidates a person's insurance.

The reason for this campaign

Callum has committed to pay the £400 to repair his car, and we don't think he should have to so we his sister and mum are going to help and crowdfund the money, as we can't afford to pay for him ourselves.

We have told Callum about this project and he has said that if the money is raised through crowdfunding, and the insurance comes through he will donate the money to charity, splitting monies raised between Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign, MacMillan and half to St Richards Hospice - these are charities close to our family's hearts and to many other people in Worcester and Hereford.
