Callander Jazz and Blues Festival

Aim

We hope to raise funds for this year's jazz and blues festival in the rural picturesque Trossachs town of Callander, in central Scotland.

We are a voluntary community organisation based in Callander in Scotland and we are hoping to raise sufficient funding for this years rural jazz & blues music festival in rural Stirlingshire. The festival will take place between the 4th and 6th of October in some 12 different venues with around 50 programmed live performances. It will involve around 150 musicians from all over the UK and abroad, including young up and coming performers and some well established favourites. We hope to attract around 4,000 visitors over the weekend, making it the busiest weekend of the year in Callander and benefiting the local community both economically and culturally.

The festival is planned and managed by a small committee, plus invaluable support of around 30 additional helpers over the festival weekend, who are primarily volunteers. We are also supported by all the venue hosts and staff who work diligently over the weekend to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. 

It is essential we raise sufficient funding for this years festival, as it underpins the entire weekend event and enables us to provide the top quality entertainment that the festival is known for. The income generation of the festival has obvious economic benefits to the businesses in and around the town, and brings together both business and community spirit. The event is a major event and celebration in the community, and reflects the vision and priorities of the local rural community.
