New stretch target
We have now reached our £300,000 target, and have enough money the purchase the ancient fishing buildings. They have been saved from development.
We are now focussed on raising money to repair and refurbish these fishing buildings which have not had anything spent on them for a very long time. We have leaking roofs and decaying structure that can all be put right if we have the means.
We want to bring the buildings up to a good standard for the fishermen to use going forward, and minimise the ongoing maintenance required. Every additional pound raised will make a difference.
We are all astounded at how much love there is for Cadgwith and for preserving the future of our fishermen.
We are so grateful and humbled with the strength of public support in reaching:
- £10,000 within 5 days [16 Feb]
- £100,000 only 6 days later [22 Feb]
- £150,000 only 3 days later [25 Feb]
- £200,000 only 1 day later [26 Feb]
- £250,000 only 4 days later [02 Mar]
- £300,000 26 days later [28 Mar]
Thank you to every single one of the 8,552+ people who have given us a donation so far and are supporting us in so many ways.
The fishermen have renewed hope and a spring in their step. The threat to their future has been removed, and they now know they have a future fishing from the cove.
Thank you for your help.
