To raise funds to develop our cricket ground to allow us to provide cricket for the community.
CACC is a cross‑community cricket club based on the Antrim Road, committed to providing inclusive and high‑quality cricket opportunities for young people. We offer coaching for children aged nine and above, delivered by qualified coaches who focus not only on developing technical skills but also on supporting personal growth and confidence.
The club was established through the amalgamation of Cliftonville and Academy, two historic clubs with proud traditions, multiple honours, and a strong record of producing Irish representative cricketers. This heritage continues to shape our values and ambition.
CACC currently competes in the NCU Premier League, where we have maintained our position for the past four seasons. During this period, the club has continued to grow both in membership and performance. Recent achievements include the 1st XI reaching the final of the T20 Cup last season, reflecting the progress made on and off the field.
CACC relies heavily on a dedicated team of volunteers to maintain the grounds, with weekly commitments often reaching 15–20 hours, including regular Saturday work. Much of this workload is driven by the limitations of our current sight screens and covers, which are no longer fit for purpose and frequently require additional labour to manage.
Investing in new covers will significantly reduce the time spent on reactive tasks, such as addressing water ingress and undertaking remedial work. This will allow our volunteers to focus their efforts on preparing and improving the playing surface itself, ultimately enhancing the quality, safety, and sustainability of the ground.
Our goal is to raise £8290.20 of which we need to raise £2901.57 . We would be spending the money on the following
New sight screens- £3120
New Scoreboard- £2772
New sheet cover for square, run ups and wicket- £708.95
The above also have costs of £1600 for delivery for the sight screens and Scoreboard with an £89.95 delivery charge for the sheet.
That brings the total to
£8290.90
This investment in new equipment will enable us to modernise our grounds to meet the standards expected of a Premier League club. It will also allow us to provide high‑quality facilities for our youth and junior teams, supporting their development by giving them the opportunity to train and compete on grass wickets rather than artificial surfaces.
CACC provides cricket coaching and personal development opportunities for participants from the age of nine through to senior level. We take pride in the continuity within our club, with many members of our First XI having progressed together from school cricket to senior competition. This long‑term development pathway reflects our commitment to nurturing both sporting ability and personal growth.
As a community‑focused club, we place great importance on giving back to the area we represent. This commitment is demonstrated through our ongoing coaching programmes in local primary schools and our structured junior coaching sessions, which introduce young people to cricket in a supportive, inclusive, and encouraging environment.
Securing this funding would allow us to redirect resources currently required for essential ground maintenance into expanding our junior coaching programme. This investment would strengthen our ability to support young cricketers—not only in developing their sporting skills, but also in building the confidence, resilience, and personal qualities they need as they move into adulthood. By enhancing this pathway, we can continue to nurture well‑rounded individuals who contribute positively both on and off the field.
