Resurface our 25year old All Weather Bowling Green

Aim: We aim to resurface our all-Weather Bowling Green at the Avenue Bowling Coventry with SPORT ENGLAND aid enabling wider local community usage
Who are we?
We are a well established Bowls club, celebrating 90 years in 2025, we provide opportunities for members of the local area to engage in bowls and remain engaged in social activities. Our facilities are used by a wide range of the community. Recently the green has been used for the Bowls for Health Programme sponsored by the Bowls Development Association. For the last 2 years a local dementia group enjoyed our somewhat decrepit surface. It was was also used for Coventry's hosting of the British Transplant games.
Why are we crowdfunding?
For several years we have been exploring various methodologies of affording a resurface of our all weather rink, until this year, with little success. This year, however, we have been able to receive a grant for a significant portion of the cost from Sport England but we need your help to raise the remainder.
How we’ll spend the money raised
If we are successful in raising our goal we will resurface our all weather Bowls green in a similar material to the current surface, which has lasted significantly past it's lifespan.
Community impact
As previously mentioned we are a key part of the community for our members, often providing a local get together opportunity both in and out of season. Part of the out of season is providing an all weather green so that our members can practice all year round. By resurfacing the all weather green, our members will have a continued opportunity to practice and socialise all year round. With a new surface we envisage a much wider usage involving other local bowls clubs especially in the off season. It is the only all weather green in the area
