Aim

We have supported over 5804 community members over the last 12 months. We operate a food bank five days a week and every other Saturday.

By supporting C2U Gosport CIC, you will be helping us reach more vulnerable and socially isolated people in Gosport and the surrounding areas. Every penny recieved is used to provide our services to those in need FREE of Charge.

C2U is here for anyone needing support, whether to access the food bank or to sit and chat somewhere warm. Warm hub – A place for people afraid to heat their homes due to the cost of energy.

Lunch Clubs – Providing soup and a roll and hot drink to ensure community members have access to at least one hot meal daily. We would also like to offer special lunch events such as Fish and Chip Friday and Cream Tea Tuesdays.

Healthy Start to the Day - families in need, provision of cereal, toast, fruit and juice is available. In addition to the breakfast, we offer crafting sessions. We also invite characters to visit during breakfast to brighten their day.

Our well-being coach, we can support people going through mental health problems. C2U runs a drop in  coffee mornings as well as pre-booked sessions. We offer a person-centred approach that provides a safe space to talk, and appointments can be booked for longer-term support.

Christmas Grotto and other special events for the community to explore a specially decorated space. Allowing families and community groups to enjoy the joy of Christmas and other seasonal events. However, due to the rising cost of living, many families cannot afford to pay. C2U do not charge, it is FREE for everyone.

All our events have times available for those that need to visit at quieter times due to their needs; the area is also wheelchair accessible to ensure the inclusivity of the community.

Form Filling Support – We provide support with completing benefit applications and housing forms for those who need it. In addition, we also have staff that can help with job applications and CVs and can offer sessions to help with interview skills and managing stress. We also support individuals in making applications to local authorities for disabled adaptations within their homes, such as applying for handrails, disability access ramps, and wet rooms.

Bringing Community Groups Together – Through events we run, we invite other community organisations to attend to promote their services and support raising their profiles within the community, in addition to building working relationships with these organisations to bring their services to the C2U community, which strengthens us all through collaborative working and sharing of knowledge.

C2U is run by volunteers, no-one at C2U recieves any money for the work they do.
