Aim: Help us bring the brilliant Burning the Clocks back to Brighton for 2023
Get ready to light up the night sky as the beloved arts charity Same Sky presents the enchanting Burning the Clocks Lantern Procession on the 21st of December in Brighton City Centre. This annual event, supported by Arts Council England and the Chalk Cliff Trust, promises to be a magical celebration of art, community, and the winter solstice.
Burning the Clocks is a cherished tradition that has captured the hearts of Brighton residents and visitors alike for over two decades. Each year, hundreds of lanterns of all shapes and sizes illuminate the city's streets, creating a breathtaking spectacle that marks the longest night of the year.
The procession is not only a visual feast but also a symbolic act of letting go of the past year's challenges and welcoming the new year with hope and optimism. Participants are encouraged to craft their lanterns, expressing their unique artistic flair and personal wishes for the year ahead.
