Burley Trojans Buy a Brick Fundraiser

Aim

We’re raising funds to finish Burley Trojans’ new clubhouse & pitch improvements & create a lasting home for football & sport in our village

Burley Trojans FC is a village football club run by volunteers and supported by the local community. The club has existed since 1935 and the junior section for over 40 years. It is a place where people of all ages come together through sport, from girls and boys junior teams right through to men's, women's and veterans football.

The club has grown and now supports over 500 players, but our facilities haven't kept pace. We didn’t have changing rooms, a central meeting space, or enough pitches to meet demand. It limited what we could offer and made it harder to attract and retain players, support volunteers and provide the experience a club of our size needs.

With support from the The Premier League, The FA, and Government via the Football Foundation, we have secured funding to build a new clubhouse and undertake pitch works to create new pitches, something the club has needed for a long time. From the start, the project has required the club to raise funds as part of the build. Unfortunately, rising construction and material costs mean that fundraising has become even more important to ensure the clubhouse can be properly finished and used as intended and the pitch improvements completed.

To complete the project and unlock all of the funding, we need to raise £20,000.

The money raised will be used to:

• Fit out the clubhouse - including a kitchen, social space, and well-equipped changing rooms for all players and officials

• Invest in pitch improvements and maintenance equipment

• Support the development of new pitches for junior and adult football

The aim is simple: a practical, welcoming facility that gives the club a proper home and can also be used by the wider community. Somewhere players can get changed, volunteers can meet, families can gather on matchdays, and local groups can book and use the space.

This Crowdfunder is being run as a buy-a-brick scheme. Every contribution becomes a permanent part of the clubhouse and directly supports the future of the club and village sport.
