Help us continue to support our local community, so people of any age, ability or background, can work, play, learn, record or perform.
Our vibrant, accessible, inclusive music facility in the City of Sunderland, has supported our diverse local music scene through creativity and learning, for almost 40 years.
We are a not for profit, social enterprise, made up of musicians, who help musicians and those who simply want to have fun or try music for the first time.
Our project is unique in that it is the oldest surviving music community facility setup by young people, in the whole country. It is also the only one of its type in our City and the only opportunity for people to gain experience in the industry in a real life environment. We are crowdfunding to help us continue to offer our high-quality, multi-purpose studios to meet the needs of our local community for another 40 years and more.
More than just music studios, we deliver tuition, training, workshops 7 days a week, plus also host regular events to showcase local artists, providing access and support to those who need it, including many local schools, community businesses and social enterprises.
The Crowdfund will help us to provide a professional music facility for our City to be proud of, where people, young and old, can work or play in a safe, professional and comfortable environment with experienced producers and facilitators alike.
We will use the money to deliver music workshops and sessions to those who can't afford it so our facilities and services can benefit the whole community. Our rehearsal and recording studios will continue to provide a base and space for local people, bands and artists to develop, with a wide range of creative opportunities available.
We will deliver training, support and career guidance to people of all ages or abilities, hard to reach learners, people from minority groups and problematic backgrounds, who may otherwise not have access to this support.
We will provide advice and support to build confidence and help people use music for a positive outcome, exploring the use of music in helping the recuperation or treatment of people suffering illness.
Music is one of the longest standing self prescribed therapy in history. It can heal the wounds which medicine cannot touch, it brings us pleasure and releases our suffering. Music can calm us down and pump us up. It helps us manage pain, run faster, sleep better and be more productive.
Music has so many benefits and you can help us continue to provide these to more people.
