Building a dream, the legendary Alfa Romeo 155 DTM

Aim

Before it's to late and I'm too old, I dream about building a road replica version of the legendary unobtainable Alfa Romeo 155 v6 Ti.

The Legend that is the Alfa Romeo 155 V6 Ti DTM.

Now its time to fulfil a dream and actually build one, before well you know, we all get older.

Check out this video or search You Tube for Alfa Romeo 155 V6 Ti DTM and you'll be blown away. Screaming at 11000 rpm the glorious sound of the Alfa Romeo V6 is unbelievable. The Technology was unrivalled. The car just beautiful and poetic. One of the originals sold at over £750,000 in Dec 21.

I'm not expecting or capable of building the full version, I would like to pay homage and build a road going replica and depending on how we go, we will look and feel like an original, maybe obtain 9-10 000 rpms and manage 400 bhp.

About me

I'm an avid Italian automotive fan, a tinkerer, I've managed to acquire and renovate my current Alfa Romeo GT GTA V6 and Ducati 916 all with the goal of funding my dream build.

The heart of the Gt is the historic V6 Busso engine. The nickname "Busso" is in tribute to the engines creator Giuseppe Busso, the former Ferrari engineer who developed this engine in the early 70's. And it's beautiful , 240 bhp untuned, check it out :)

We are going to take a basic white or red Alfa Romeo and turn it into road replica fire breathing road hugging 155 V6  Ti DTM.

Over the last 24 months I have tracked down specifications of the original, bodywork from Germany and all the parts required to radically change the standard 155 in to it's famous relative.

I'm are ready to pick up the spanners, find the donor car and begin.
