Aim

Build a Community Baseball Club in Cornwall, UK. We're creating an inexpensive sporting escape to improve health, both physical and mental

Baseball in Cornwall?!
Baseball is known as America's number one pastime. It, without a shadow of a doubt, is a sport that when finessed to the higher levels of expertise can present a world of opportunities for participants.
We raised our family in rural Canada. Lots of small villages and towns amongst rolling hills, stunning sunsets and plentiful access to water (Does that sound familiar?). Our communities of adults and children played baseball as an ingrained summer pursuit on the warmer days between winters. Living in Cornwall, we can see the huge opportunity to recreate that North American local sporty feel right here.
We firmly believe that everyone is able to and, at our organisation, welcome to join our community and pursue a common goal of "Baseball for All"!
You don't need any kit or experience to get started. You can be of any age or gender identity. Friendly and open minded...you're our rookie!

You may want to get a bit fitter, or a lot fitter - take a swing at Kernow Baseball!
You may want to have fun and learn or try something new - step up to the plate at Kernow Baseball!
You may not want to play, but want to join a community as an official, a scorer, a biggest fan or something else that you'd like to table with us - line up with us at Kernow Baseball!
You may just admire and recognise the efforts of this volunteer group in your community, and want to get behind something local - support us at Kernow Baseball!

The game starts with a solid venue to call "Homeplate"
We currently have secured 3 locations to develop our Kernow Baseball League pursuits, with a couple of other "Top Secret" projects underway.
This year we are looking to raise funds for a boldly ambitious campaign to set up infrastructure at our current 3 locations - this will guarantee us the ability to have up to 6 teams play each other on properly configured baseball diamonds in our beautiful Duchy.

Our main tenant of "#BaseballForAll with #BaseballForCornwall" is just that. We are looking to build youth programs in our operating locales and also developing a version of Challenger Baseball for the Duchy.
To reach young people that think it's too late to start a sport. That think they missed the boat with football, rugby, cricket, tennis - they haven't missed this boat. We're building an ark! When our nation floods with baseball opportunities, they'll have set themselves on a path to be high and dry and get to the destinations!
The pursuit will be financially affordable and accessible for all who want tobe involved. We will curate bursary options for as many people as possible to ensure that cost is not a limiting factor.

We were very fortunate to have a Challenger Baseball group as an integral part to our Canadian club at Ivy Baseball.
Our family volunteered to assist in spreading the joy of baseball to youngsters with physical and/or mental impairments that precluded them from regular standard gameplay. For us, it was another highlight of the game we love delivered to those who loved baseball just as much as us.
Our group even attended a Jamboree event that saw our players and buddies take to the field at the Toronto Blue Jays' professional MLB baseball stadium
