DreamQuest – Building the Future of Play, Learning and Discovery

Hello, my name is Nick, and I'm the founder of DreamQuest. With a background in IT and engineering, I'm always looking for ways technology can be used to improve quality of life, inspire curiosity, and create new opportunities. DreamQuest is a family-run project built on those values.

At its heart, DreamQuest is about inspiring curiosity, building confidence, and bringing people together.

Living in rural Cornwall, it's easy to see that not every child, young person, or family has access to the same opportunities for entertainment, learning, and social interaction. Traditional activities don't suit everyone, and many people are looking for new ways to connect, explore, and have fun in a welcoming environment.

DreamQuest was created to help fill that gap.

Using virtual reality technology, we bring immersive experiences directly into local communities, creating opportunities for people to work together, solve challenges, explore new worlds, unleash their creativity, and build confidence through shared experiences.

What started as a small community project has already shown the positive impact these experiences can have. We've welcomed children, families, home-educated learners, and people trying virtual reality for the very first time. We've seen nervous participants become confident, strangers become teammates, and families create memories together.

Virtual reality is often seen as just gaming, but we've discovered it can be so much more.

It can encourage teamwork, communication, creativity, problem-solving, exploration, and physical activity. It can provide experiences that spark imagination, develop new skills, and create opportunities for meaningful social interaction. For some participants, it offers a chance to step outside their comfort zone. For others, it provides a space where they feel comfortable being themselves.

DreamQuest is designed to be accessible, affordable, and welcoming. Every session is supervised, DBS checked, and supported by first aid training, helping to create a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone who takes part.

As interest continues to grow, so does the opportunity to do more.

We are seeking support to expand DreamQuest so that we can reach more people, improve the quality of our sessions, and introduce new experiences that benefit the communities we serve. Funding will help us invest in additional equipment, improve accessibility, develop creative and educational activities, enhance safety equipment, and continue bringing immersive experiences to areas where opportunities can often be limited.

Our vision extends beyond entertainment.

We see DreamQuest becoming a community resource that supports learning, creativity, confidence, and social connection. A place where young people can explore ancient worlds, walk on distant planets, solve puzzles as a team, create amazing virtual structures, and discover new interests that may shape their future.

Most importantly, we want to ensure these opportunities remain affordable and accessible to as many people as possible.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us continue building something that benefits local families, young people, and communities.
