We're a small team of local white goods engineers who have a big vision for the future of the domestic appliance industry.

The way the current domestic appliance industry operates is completley unsustainable and is having an adverse affect on worldwide ecosystems and our planets health. 

But we have a solution!! 

A new concept that won't harm the planet mearly for convinience!  

Today, we stand at a crucial juncture. We're not just fighting for our business; we're fighting for a better world for our children. Climate change is a pressing issue, and we believe it's time to challenge the unsustainable manufacturing processes that are all too common in our industry.

Our Solution: A Sustainable, Modular Washing Machine

Our solution is a completely modular washing machine, built from components that can be remanufactured into new components. This isn’t just a product; it’s a revolution in the way we think about appliances. It’s about creating a world where goods flow in a circular pattern, where machines are designed to be repaired, not replaced, and where consumers can buy a product knowing it’s built to last & it hasn’t harmed the planet we live on!

Our New Goal: University Collabaration.

 An update for November. Thank you to everybody who has pledged to our crowdfunding project and those of you who have shown your continual support. We have some very exciting news to share with you. We have recently been contacted by some of the lecturers at a University. 

It seems there is potential for the modular washing machine project to be mutually beneficial for us. We are still in the very early stages of communication with the staff at the university but we will be looking to engage in a Knowledge Transfer Partnership. This will make many resources available to ourselves. There will be help with. Project funding, Research and Development, Suitable prototyping for the modular washing machine and Real life applicational needs and expectations for the user when the machine is completed. 

There are four fundamental goals we have for the washer at this current point in the project. 

1.  Repairability - The machine must be easily repairable and all main components to be accessible from the front of the machine. 

2. Circularity -We need to manufacture our components in such a way that they can be recycled back into the production line once they have reached the end of their lifecycle. 

3. Eco-friendly - We want to make the most eco-friendly washing machine on the planet. This will require extensive research on multiple areas; from the materials used in our product, to the type of wash cycles to be included and how we heat the water for the wash. 

The weight of the machine is also a big part of project, as we want to design a machine that can use an alternative to concrete for the counterweight. (This will be added to the machine upon installation. Saving weight on transportation, which will reduce carbon emissions). 

Microplastics are a massive problem caused by washing machines and the type of clothes we all wear. With this in mind. We would be looking to decrease the amount of microplastics released by incorporating a microplastic filter in the machine. 

4. Green Energy-We want to produce as much of our own power as possible to build these machines. With the help of the university, we would be able to establish which methods of energy production would be the most sustainable for our requirements. 

First Prototype of a Miniature Outer Drum

As you can see from this video, we have used the first part of the Crowfunding revenue to purchase a Creality Ender-3 Pro S1. 

We have ssuccesfully printed out the first mini prototype of the revoluitonary Outer Drum design, which we will be looking to implement in our appliance. Can't say too much yet. But it has high potetional to become a viable option.

 This is a very exciting time for us and means we can print protoypes quickly, in house and make any ajustments to the design as we go (if necessary). This will rapidly speed up our process. 

  We believe we have found an ethically sourced and sustainable filament company. From which we can purchase our supplies. We will be looking to order some of this Filament and put it to the test. It should be suitable for the application of building our parts. 

We are always designing new parts to be prototyped and with your help we can increase productivity even more. Once the parts have been tested and we have made a scaled down version of the washer, we can look to start manufacture on a full size prototype.
