“We’re raising money to help formerly homeless adults build lasting financial stability, confidence and positive futures"
Hope Three 16 is a registered charity based in Southend-on-Sea, supporting people who have experienced street homelessness to rebuild their lives with dignity and stability. Since 2013, we have helped over 100 men move from the streets into safe, supported accommodation and progress towards independent living.
Our work goes far beyond providing a roof. Many of the people we support have lived with long-term poverty, trauma, addiction and poor mental health, often combined with years of financial exclusion. When someone leaves homelessness, the challenge is not just finding a home, but learning how to manage money, sustain a tenancy, navigate benefits systems, budget for daily living, and plan for the future. Without the right support, these pressures can quickly lead to crisis and a return to homelessness.
This project focuses on financial resilience and independence. We will support formerly homeless adults to build confidence, practical financial skills and stability, helping them reduce crisis situations, manage their income and outgoings, and feel positive about their financial future. By strengthening financial wellbeing, we help people move from survival to stability and create lasting change, directly aligning with Aviva’s Financial Wellbeing funding focus.
How we’ll spend the money raised
We’ll use the funds transparently and responsibly to support people rebuilding their financial lives after homelessness, including:
Financial wellbeing workshops (budgeting, bills, benefits, money confidence)
One-to-one support for people managing tenancies and income
Digital access to manage benefits, job search and finances
Essential resources and materials to support learning
Monitoring and support to ensure long-term impact
Every pound raised will directly support people on their journey towards financial independence.
